Privacy policy
Effective October 25, 2026
We do not collect any data that identifies you. Pixel Home has no accounts on our side and no tracking, and we run no servers for it. From version 1.1 the game shows ads. They are delivered by Google, which receives some information from your device to do that; the sections on advertising below say what, when, and what you can choose. From version 1.2 the game also sends anonymous play statistics, which you can turn off; the section on them says what they contain.
What stays on your device
Your progress and settings are stored on your device. Your lives, the record of what your purchases granted and your sign-in are kept in the iOS Keychain on your device, where they can remain after the game is deleted, so that they are still there if you install it again. None of this is sent to us.
Sign in with Apple (optional)
You can play as a guest. If you choose to sign in, the game asks Apple only for your name, never your email address. Apple gives the game an identifier for your account. It is kept on your device and used to label your save in your own iCloud storage. We have no server, so neither the identifier nor your name ever reaches us.
iCloud saves
When you are signed in, your progress is saved to your own iCloud key-value storage so it can follow you to your other devices. That storage belongs to your Apple Account. We cannot read it. Apple's handling of it is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Game Center (optional)
If you choose to sign in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple's Game Center under your Game Center profile. The game does not start Game Center until you ask for it.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Advertising
From version 1.1, Pixel Home shows two kinds of ad, both delivered by Google AdMob: a full-screen ad after every fifth level you clear, and a video you can choose to watch for an extra life. Ads never appear during a level. Version 1.0 shows no ads and contains no advertising software. Nothing is sent to Google until an ad is first needed: when you ask for a video, or shortly before the first ad between levels.
What Google receives
To deliver ads, limit how often they appear and measure them, Google's advertising software in the game sends Google information such as your IP address (which shows roughly where you are), details of your device and the app (model, system version, language, app version), identifiers kept for the app on your device, and whether an ad was shown or tapped. This information goes to Google and its advertising partners, not to us. How Google uses information from apps that use its services explains what Google does with it and how you can control it.
No personalized ads, and your choices
The game always asks for non-personalized ads. It never asks for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, so your advertising identifier is not used. Ads may still be chosen from general context, such as roughly where you are, your language and the app you are using. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choice before the first ad and lists the advertising partners involved. You can refuse, and you can change your answer at any time in the game under Settings, then Ad choices.
Anonymous play statistics
From version 1.2, Pixel Home sends anonymous play statistics to PostHog, an analytics service: which levels are started, cleared or given up, when lives run out, when the shop is opened and how purchases end, with the app version and the game's language. They contain no name, account, advertising or device identifier, and nothing that identifies you: a random value that changes every day lets us count players per day without recognizing anyone from one day to the next. They are stored in the European Union, without IP addresses or location. You can turn them off in the game under Settings, then Share anonymous play statistics. How PostHog handles them is covered by PostHog's privacy policy.
Children
We collect no data that identifies anyone, including children: the play statistics are anonymous. Ads are never personalized and are limited to those Google rates as suitable for general audiences.
This website
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. It uses no cookies and no analytics of its own. GitHub may log technical information such as IP addresses to operate the service, as described in the GitHub privacy statement. From version 1.1 the game also reads a small settings file from this site when it starts, so that it can show fewer ads or say that a new version is available. From version 1.3 it also downloads new gardens from this site, so that new levels can arrive without an update. These requests contain nothing about you, but as with any visit GitHub may log the IP address they come from. You can also play the game in your browser on this site. There it keeps your progress in your browser's storage on your device, and it sends nothing about you or your play to us or anyone else.
